The name Mediterrante originates fom the fusion of three Italian words: Mediterraneo. -Meditare and errare(to roam) . The merger of these three words implies the concept of a "journey without a pre-established, thought over destination in the Mediterranean area "; but it is from Sicily that we will start. Actually for its geografical position at the center of the Medtiterranean, Sicily is a crossroad, a watershed between the productive frantic culture of the western world and the easy idle one of the hot eastern deserts..What Mediterrante offers is a journey centered above all on Sicily not only for its overwhelming cultural wealth  but also because the itineraries and encounters will create links between guest and host who will enjoy the exchange of their experience. The goal of the association is exactly this to establish what we can define an "interalated tourism".i.e. a tourism which introduces the traveller in the daily life of the place from its past traditions to the present history, from the moving religious feasts to the colourful and lively markets. And we will start from Palermo.
